How do I make a link to the portal on every page. Here is my website:http://www.kaoticgaming.com/forum/portal.php
It only has a link to the board index unlike others ive seen. How do i add a link to the portal?

Did you follow every step of the mod instruction in the style folder? choose your style(prosilver or subsilver). It is there.

Ok. Now how do I post news?
And the portal link still isn't working.

1) Haven't you refresh your template?

2) Go to ACP, under mod tab, select News and enter number of news to be display, from forum ..., enable it there.

The "install.xml" file didn't say anything about the overall header and footer section.

Check that you have the correct file. I just copy that part here so that you know what to look for.

Ah, sorry, misunderstanding.
No, it can't be configured in the ACP.

Not tested, but try this tweak, that should fit your needs:

portal/includes/functions.php

search:

$topic_order = 't.topic_last_post_time DESC';

replace with:

- two times!
