Thanks for this, very nice mod and install was a breeze! Just what I was looking for, and very easy to edit for another prosilver based theme.

(also really like your navigation bar on your site cherokee red, great site)

I've downloaded the mod and saw there where only edits for prosilver, any possibility for subsilver template edits ?
Not for now. As I don't use any subSilver2 based styles, I haven't worked on edits for those styles.
I might later, but don't promise to. As I mentioned earlier in the topic, It shouldn't be too hard to do it yourself ;)

for subSilver2 I searched for LOGO in the overall header and overall footer

in the header I found <div id="logodesc">

Code: Select all

<!-- REDBAR -->
      <div class="redbar">
         <div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>

         <div id="red-bar">
           <div style="text-align:center;">
            <!-- BEGIN redbar --><a href="{redbar.U_REDBAR_URL}" style="color: #{redbar.REDBAR_COLOUR};" title="{redbar.REDBAR_NAME}">{redbar.REDBAR_NAME}</a><!-- IF redbar.S_LAST_ROW -->&nbsp;<!-- ELSE --> &nbsp; <strong>&#8249;</strong> &nbsp; <!-- ENDIF --><!-- END redbar -->
           </div>
         </div>
         <span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
      </div>
   <!-- REDBAR -->
I then pasted the above code on the next line

in the footer I found

<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->{RUN_CRON_TASK}<!-- ENDIF -->
</div><br />

I pasted the above code onto the next line

excellent mod

what I love about it is that you can splash out links without worrying too much "is that link going to be good next week??" because the links can be changed v easily in the ACP

I found the modules control panel quite intricate and you have to pay v close attention to Kenny's wording

if you do exactly what the install says - the mod will work :mrgreen:

Allright.....my soilution for the Subsilver2 style

Open styles/subsilver2/theme/stylesheet.css and find:

Code: Select all

p.breadcrumbs {
	margin: 0;
	float: left;
	color: black;
	font-weight: bold;
	white-space: normal;
	font-size: 1em;
}
Before add:

Code: Select all

.redbar {
	margin: 0;
	text-align:center;
	font-weight: bold;
	font-size: 1.1em;
}
Then make a new html file, call it redbar.html and past within:

Code: Select all

	<table class="tablebg" width="100%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0" style="margin-top: 10px;">
	<tr>
		<td class="row1">
			<p class="redbar"><!-- BEGIN redbar --><a href="{redbar.U_REDBAR_URL}" style="color: #{redbar.REDBAR_COLOUR};" title="{redbar.REDBAR_NAME}">{redbar.REDBAR_NAME}</a><!-- IF redbar.S_LAST_ROW -->&nbsp;<!-- ELSE --> &nbsp; <strong>&#8249;</strong> &nbsp; <!-- ENDIF --><!-- END redbar --></p>
		</td>
	</tr>
	</table>
Now you can include in overall_header.html, overall_footer.html of index_bode.html the bar using

Code: Select all

	<!-- INCLUDE redbar.html -->
I included in overall_header.html after:

Code: Select all

	<!-- INCLUDE breadcrumbs.html -->
and in index_body.html before:

Code: Select all

<!-- INCLUDE overall_footer.html -->
Don't forget to refresh your template when done.

On my test forum you can see the result
