EXreaction wrote:The way I've fixed that for now is we'll require including the common.php file the new way it is setup in the umil_auto_example.php file (though you can skip that part if you would like and will still work the old way, but constants won't work as it's been noted)
The old way is fine, but the UMIL construct should call the phpBB common, which will include the constants. So the user simply needs to instantiate the umil class before they make any DB queries.

Yes, it can still call the setup as it could before.

The constants are needed before they are called, not just before the DB queries and the version array is setup before the umil auto file is included, so at that point the constants don't exist.

So using the latest SVN (r48) constants are working. Another small thing I noticed is the SVN keyword Id does not seem set on the files.

As a small aside, using AutoMOD and UMIL I can now have my MOD installed in under 1 minute!! :o 23 tables, 52 permissions, 7 roles & 1 group permissions update, 15 modules & over 1200 piece of data entered and 16 files to edit. Its now a breeze using AutoMOD & UMIL now.

I really don't like using that Id stuff, it's a pain to manage using Tortoise SVN (or at least it has been for me, I've been more likely to screw something up completely then get that all working right).

What mod is that?

For TortoiseSVN just pick the top folder, select properties go to SVN tab and select properties again, then new. Property name should be "svn:keywords" and type "Id" in property value, select the apply recursively and OK.

As for the MOD is called phpBBGarage and runs to 89,644 PHP, 14,207 HTML and 5,240 SQL lines!! Used to be a major install taking about 30 minutes for a person not fimilar with phpBB but now with two excellent tools is a piece of cake.

Yep, I've done it before with tortoise svn, but it just becomes a pain when adding files, etc. I've been lucky if tortoise SVN works at all, it has always been buggy for me. :P

Nice. :)

It's also possible to configure SVN to add them automatically. You can do this in "C:\Documents and settings\username\Application data\Subversion\config" with auto-props. Look it up. :)

I added props to all of the files within UMIL.

Alright, I've added some support so you can display your own custom options with the UMIL Auto system.

I updated the umil_auto_example with two example options as well.

I am not sure if we can use this in the preview release that is coming up yet or if it is too late (in which case it would need to wait until the final release). I don't see why it couldn't be included in the preview release however.

It will be included, I haven’t tagged it yet.

Tested the custom options and worked a treat. Nice job.

Just giving a quick note to anyone. Today I've been working on adding documentation in the Wiki for UMIL.
