Append_sid and session Id

Post by taifun-orkan » Sat Jun 20, 2009 8:16 am

Hello

Since I have been working on a modification, I am logged out from the admin area when refreshing the cache. But this only happens with my Firefox 3.0.

I am trying to transfer the session id correctly and building the hyperlinks like this:

Code: Select all

<a href="<?php append_sid($phpbb_root_path.'bookmania.php?search=31EI9AHLOC88X&index=Books&title=Autor werden'); ?>">Schreiben lernen</a>
I found this way on:
Knowledge Base - Sessions and SIDs (append_sid)

I would have expected this as a result:

Code: Select all

http://www.mypoems.de/bookmania.php?search=31EI9AHLOC88X&index=Books&title=Autor werden&sid=XYZ510e623462346234
But the link is referring to the new page without parameters at all and without sid:

Code: Select all

http://www.mypoems.de/bookmania.php
Thats not funny. What can I do?

Viele Grüße,
Bernd

You need to echo the result out. ;)

Dear Sajaki and ToonArmy!

Thank you for responding.

There is no better result if I use echo or not or Sajaki's different use of append_sid function from mine:

Code: Select all

<a href="<?php append_sid($phpbb_root_path.'bookmania.php', 'search=31EI9AHLOC88X&index=Books&title=Autor%20werden'); ?>">Schreiben lernen</a>
All these suggestions result in FF in http://www.mypoems.de/bookmania.php and in IE only in http://www.mypoems.de.

I wonder if there is a function append_sid() in my forum at all. Is ist possible, that a seo mod has changed the append_sid function or deleted it.

Must be in includes/sessions.php but there is no such append_sid function.

Bernd
