Help with adding a custom function in the template

Post by sypher01 »

Hello all,
got a small thing i'd like to do that i cant seem able to do.

My current situation is, i've got the forum and i've got a left sidebar working.

Now i would like to ADD the output of a function to the sidebar.

Where would i go to add my custom function ?

Where would i go to assign the result to the template vars ?

In that way, i should be able to just put the template var in the overall_sidebar.html ...

But i dont know the answer to those 2 other questions before!

Overall_sidebar is included from overall_header which is itself included from index_body as far as i can remember.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If the function is used on most every page, then you could put the function in includes/functions.php
