[SOLVED] Standard/preferred way to add ACP setting in a MOD?

Post by KingOfGeeks »

I'm creating a MOD where I'd like to allow it enabled on a per-group basis. For example, I want a setting that is similar to ACP >> Users and Groups >> Groups' permissions >> User permissions >> Misc >> Can send e-mails.

Is there a doc, sample MOD or tool that I can use as a guide?

Alternatively, is there a standard way to add ACP settings for MODX-generated MODs? For example, I see that phpBB Statistics adds a ".MODS" tab to ACP.

Thanks in advance!

Would you like to add it to an existing page of the ACP or a new one?

If you'd like the latter you can create an ACP module with all your settings in it, see http://wiki.phpbb.com/Using_the_phpBB3.0_Module_System

That is not a "setting". It is a "Groups User permission".
This artlcle will explain how to add a permission: [kb]permission-system-overview-for-mod-authors-part-two[/kb]
