there are certain types of comment code that is reserved for phpbb to use and should not be used in a MOD.

I am not sure but I think that was the problem with that code you had before.

bottom line is that the MOD was old and not supported and you probably should not be using it at all.

if you are going to use it anyway, then it is up to you to fix whatever problems it has.

having said that, the validation errors have nothing to do with the functionality of the MOD, if those errors are actually in the code created by the MOD, just fix them or ignore them.

why do you care about a few minor validation errors? those errors have no effect on how the page displays or works etc., If you fix them you will see absolutely no difference in how your page/site works and displays etc.
