MODX: prosilver stylesheet released

MODX: prosilver stylesheet released

For the past two months I have been working very hard with the team to update the daggy old subSilver styled MODX stylesheet to the new prosilver style.

With this new release comes few features and bug fixes built in. The stylesheet will be required for all phpBB3.0 MOD submissions. Of the new features one we are particularly proud of is improved translation support. Over the next couple of days the translation team will be contacted about providing a translation of the language strings used in the stylesheet.

We have provided an online sample of what the stylesheet looks like here: http://www.phpbb.com/mods/modx/sample-30.xml
The sample MOD demonstrates the AJAX dynamic language loader using a dutch translation provided by paul999.

phpBB2 MODs should still use the subsilver MODX stylesheet, and is what the phpBB MOD Validation team will be expecting.

The stylesheet can be downloaded from the following URL: http://www.phpbb.com/mods/modx/modx.prosilver.en.xsl

What's new?
  1. All new prosilver style
  2. Dynamic AJAX translation loading
  3. Improved layout
Fixes

There are a number of fixes over the subsilver stylesheet that will be rolled out into it shortly.
  • Author profile URL to phpBB.com fixed for phpBB3 changed behaviour on phpbb.com
  • Javascript in IE fixed
  • Various tweaks
  • Copy and paste keys handed back to browser handling
Known issues

There are a few known issues that cannot be fixed due to browser limitations. If you find an issue not listed below please report as a bug to the website bug tracker at http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/website/
  1. Internet explorer doesn't display phpBB logo or round corners.
    Limitation in Internet Explorer
  2. I have uploaded to my webserver and the language selector will not load
Due to browser security zones, cross-domain AJAX is not possible. Either download locally and access, or change the domain the languages files are hosted to your domain.

I believe the XSD has been updated with a minor update (multi language related).

At what window size?
Try dragging the right edge of your IE window smaller....

I don't have IE6. I've been informed it works perfectly well on IE6 though.

If you see a display error, take a screenshot and post it to the Bug tracker. If behaviour is wrong, describe the wrong behaviour and the expected behaviour, again in the Bug tracker.
