I wrote a simple mod to display all topics that were posted in the last 24 hrs. I found that a feature on vBulletin and liked it, because I usually log in in the morning, have a quick glance at what's new, and go do other things .. but then my session expires, and when I finally get back to the forum the "posts since last visit" has been updated because I had to log in again. There is no easy way to find back the posts that I had intended to read, apart from browsing all the forums / topics.
A "posts / topics from last 24 hrs" is not sensitive to last visit time. The users on our forum seem to appreciate it as well .. here's a screenshot:
Sorry it's in Dutch: "Berichten van vandaag" means "Today's posts"
"er voldeden 32 resultaten aan de zoekterm" == "32 results matched your search"
If other ppl like it I could write a proper mod for it. Any interest?
