"This board has no forums" text

I have all my forums set to private unless you are registered. The board reports "This board has no forums" when I am not logged in; potential users will see this. To me, this is misleading and many people will simply go somewhere else upon reading this.

My request is to change this text to something like "This board's forums are private or no forums exist".

Search for "This board has no forums." in language/en/common.php and change to whatever text you'd like.

The problem with doing custom mods like this is that I will have to redo them in the event that I upgrade...

Yeah...if you replace all of your files with a fresh package. The update method of 3.x would only change what it needs to and this probably wouldn't be something it'll need to change.

I'm using phpBB3 and tried this, however after changing the text the board still displays the "no forums" text.

Also, I'd like to add a video to this page, is this possible? And why do my changes not take affect? I tried refreshing the template, no luck.

PHP files do not require refreshing. What did you exactly change?

I did exactly this. To test it, I just added the word, "sorry" at the end to see if it would change. The text did not change.

My default language is American English, if that matters.

if you are using the US English language, you would be changing the /language/en_us/ files, not the /language/en/ ones.

it mean this is sovled problem,but i dont know how can change language from the board & where change?
