Why no 'classified' script?

I've no idea how to code php, but I cant understand why there's never been a dedicated classified script for phpbb. For phpbb2, the fabulous phpca did the trick nicely, but its never been recoded for v3 and with v2 now being soooooo old I simply dont feel happy running it anymore.
There's third party applications, of course, but reading their feedback it seems that even though they charge (large amounts of) cash for them, the writers dont exactly support them very well - I prefer this community simply because if things go wrong theres plenty of help around, and if a vulnerabilty is discovered theres thousands of people fixing it rather than a single bloke on 9-5!
It must be harder than I gave it credit for, though, because it looks like there isn't even one in development, let alone stable!
