[REQ] Mboards for BB3.

Post by Anubis_The_Jackal »

Mboards was a wonderful mod that I used on BB2, however I am having a heck of a time trying to get something similar to work. I have and can upload the original mod files or you can get them from here (use the Mboards.rar file and ignore the header issue - it extracts with winrar).

Basically the modification does the following:
Allows for the use of one set of file with multiple domains
Is not built for commercial or otherwise - its just a down and dirty way
It does not use different domains (this is a biggie!) instead the forums look like:
http://exampledomain.com/index.php - This would be the root install running from the base config
http://exampledomain.com/index.php?id=20070729 - this would be running from a different config
http://exampledomain.com/index.php?id=2007e329 - this would be running from a different config
http://exampledomain.com/index.php?id=20e36629 - this would be running from a different config

That ID would be the forum it is logging into, and is just an example.

I have been attempting this for weeks. Please I don't want to use domains or subdomains or use a mod that can't be run from one domain. Those are of no use for me, and would defeat the ideal of making as few inodes, and being as simple as possible. I thank anyone who is willing to help in advance, as back when Mboards was for BB2 I helped whoever I could.

Well, I think I would be justified if I made a slight BUMP here. >.>

I have yet to figure this out on my own. The basic idea is just to have multiple config files used when there is an id at the end or beginning or however it works of the URL string. In that way one board can have many different forums without the need for subdomains.

I.E. index.php?fid=foruma would use a different config file (lets say foruma_config.php)
