Here is my modification (for what it's worth)

Code: Select all

<dt<!-- IF topicrow.S_HAS_POLL --> style="background-image: url({T_THEME_PATH}/images/topic_poll.png); background-repeat: no-repeat;"
					<!-- ELSEIF topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG and S_TOPIC_ICONS --> style="background-image: url({T_ICONS_PATH}{topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG}); background-repeat: no-repeat;"<!-- ENDIF --> title="<!-- IF topicrow.S_HAS_POLL -->Poll &bull; <!-- ENDIF -->{topicrow.TOPIC_FOLDER_IMG_ALT}"><!-- IF topicrow.S_UNREAD_TOPIC --><a href="{topicrow.U_NEWEST_POST}">{NEWEST_POST_IMG}</a> <!-- ENDIF --><a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}" class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a>

Does it change to read/unread/mine/locked etc?

yes, it does. If you have a topic icon enabled, it overrides that and still displays the poll image.

I think you misunderstand. I want a poll_unread image, a poll_read image, a poll_read_mine image, a poll_read_hot_mine image etc.etc. It would take the place of the topic folder image, not the topic icon.
That's how the phpBB2 mod worked too.

This works in the same way.... It still shows the folder unread, read, hot, mine, mine & hot, announcement, sticky and so forth images and simply overlays the poll icon over the top. So it gives you the exact same result without having to hack anything and without having to create loads of different poll icon images for every possible different combination.

But suit yourself if you'd rather have a clunky hack, just wait for someone to care enough to write one, which, since the above does exactly as you asked, will probably be never. ;)

Overlay? Really? Overlay would be nice, I could live with that :D Except I'm using (a very modded) subsilver2...

This is the code in my viewforum_body.html:

Code: Select all

			<td class="row1" width="25" align="center">{topicrow.TOPIC_FOLDER_IMG}</td>
			<!-- IF S_TOPIC_ICONS -->
				<td class="row1" width="25" align="center"><!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG --><img src="{T_ICONS_PATH}{topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG}" width="{topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG_WIDTH}" height="{topicrow.TOPIC_ICON_IMG_HEIGHT}" alt="" title="" /><!-- ELSE --><img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/xx.gif" alt="" title="" /><!-- ENDIF --></td>
			<!-- ENDIF -->
			<td class="row2">
				{topicrow.ATTACH_ICON_IMG} <!-- IF topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE --><b>{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}</b> <!-- ENDIF --><a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}"class="topictitle" <!-- IF topicrow.FIRST_TEXT_HOVER -->title="{topicrow.FIRST_TEXT_HOVER}"<!-- ENDIF-->>{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a><!-- IF topicrow.S_UNREAD_TOPIC -->&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="{topicrow.U_NEWEST_POST}"><img src="{T_IMAGESET_LANG_PATH}/icon_newest_reply.gif" alt="" /></a><!-- ENDIF -->
I've tried a few variations of your code but I can't get it to work :? The best I could come up with was the topic image overlaying the poll image instead of the other way around :(

Oh, I'm sorry. My mod is for the tableless prosilver version. For the subsilver 2 I believe (i don't use it so I don't have much experience with the theme) it shows 2 columns to the left of the topic title (one for the topic image (hot,unread, mine etc) and another next to it for the topic icons (smilies, flame, tick, etc ..), so instead of overlaying it would show the poll image in the topic icons code, or so it should, but I'll have to write the modification code first.

But as with the previous one, it will still show the standard topic image (locked, new, unread, etc ..) but also show the poll image instead of the topic icons. Let me see if I can't create the code for you when i get home. ;)

(at work at the minute)

That's not that hard, I could do that myself. My whole point was that I want it in the first column, instead of or (if that's not possible) overlaying the topic image... :?
Thanks for the effort though, I appreciate it.
