Integrating Elgg and phpBB

Post by Ozzie Gal » Mon Jul 12, 2010 9:39 am

Hi there,

I have been searching the phpBB forum trying to find a workable solution to integrate Elgg and phpBB but all that I have tried thus far is not working.

Another member here posted in the following thread that they successfully got login working integrating Elgg and phpBB using cURL to do the login call http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 5&start=30 I have sent a PM to this member but so far I have not received a response.

Has anyone else here successfully integrated Elgg and phpBB3?

Regards

Ros

Bump...anyone out there who has successfully done this?

Any chance I've posted in the wrong forum?

Cheers

Nope, this would be the right one for this site. Have you tried at the Elgg site? Have you checked out the plugin posted over there already? http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/SG ... ion-plugin I've never heard of Elgg before this, and I see this isn't a completed solution, but maybe it will point you in the right direction?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I have searched the Elgg site and tried a couple of the forum plugins however for one reason or another they don't work. I am now currently in the process of coding a forum plugin so with any luck I'll have a solution that works.. ;)

Thanks Again

Cheers

If you have setup Joomla you could use http://www.jfusion.org to integrate them both. I installed joomla just to make that easier and build headers and footers.
PM me about any topics I have made if you have any questions about them. I'm available for paid hire on creating mods and styles for phpBB, or configuration/installation - PM for quote
