This is unpractical.
If there is 5000+ users what you do?

I have the following code at the TOP of my main page with the "echo" statement located where i want the info shown.

Code: Select all

<?php
define('IN_PHPBB', true);
$phpbb_root_path = './forum/';
$phpEx = substr(strrchr(__FILE__, '.'), 1);
include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.' . $phpEx);
include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_display.' . $phpEx);

// Start session management
$user->session_begin();
$auth->acl($user->data);
// Set some stats, get posts count from forums data if we... hum... retrieve all forums data
$total_posts	= $config['num_posts'];
$total_users	= $config['num_users'];
$total_online_users = $l_online_users;
?>

Code: Select all

<table><tr>
    <td align="center">
Posted Articles:<br /> <?php echo "$total_posts"; ?>
</td></tr><tr><td align="center">
Registered Users: <br /><?php echo "$total_users"; ?>
</td></tr></table>
