Board Introduction Text?

Post by e39m5 »

My homepage is my forum, how can I add a block of text to introduce users to the board? Something that shows on the homepage if they are not logged in.

Thanks,
Colin

Anything on this? Is it possible or do I need a mod?

Thanks

  1. Go to ACP > Styles > Templates > YourStyle > Edit
  2. Open the overall_header.html file
  3. At the end of the file, add this:

Code: Select all

		<!-- IF not S_USER_LOGGED_IN and not S_BOARD_DISABLED -->
		<div id="message" class="rules">
			<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
				REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE
			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
		</div>
		<!-- ENDIF -->
Remember, if you want to start a new line, you have to type in

Code: Select all

<br />
. Hitting the Return key on your keyboard is not enough. Also, you can use

Code: Select all

<b>Text</b>
to make text bold.
