You can colorize this theme from here:
Milky Way ColorizeIt

Milky Way Dark

You will also find there extra language sets.

If you can provide translations, feel free to contact me.

How can I change the orange BG "behind" the banner/logo to be white rather than orange? :| The orange makes it look weird IMO.

You can replace the background image which is located here:
./styles/milky_way/theme/images/top_header.png

Or you could remove the background image from the css:
Find:

Code: Select all

#top_logo{
	border-width: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	background: url('./images/top_header.png') repeat;
	height: 150px;
}
Replace with:

Code: Select all

#top_logo{
	border-width: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	margin: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
	background-color: #FFFFFF;
	height: 150px;
}

Thanks man, but is this based on subsilver2, prosilver, or its own template?

I see, oh well, guess I'll have to wait for someone to make a white theme for prosilver.

I can't see the point in using only proSilver based templates. subSilver 2 is still part of phpBB package and it is supported.

Anyway it is up to you. :)

I've managed to insert my naviagation side bar on the right side of the forum and everything works fine in English with a width of 750px for wrapcentre ;)
But if I switch to other languages (french, spanish & catalan), then I've got some serious overlap problems with some of the panels such as Messages, Members, Posting, etc. even when the information could easily fit in 750px :cry:
For instance, Members in French looks fine:

But if you display a topic, ooops the icons on the right are getting on the navigation area :roll: :

And with the search panel, then the navigation menu on right is totally overlapped :o :

I get very similar issues in Catalan and Spanish.
Where I should tweak the size of each of these panels? Code? Stylesheet? Language?

Thanks in advance!

PS: Last edit, I've just found some clues, for instance in the case of the search the right column width is specified with an absolute value of 300px instead of a %. Not been yet able to back track this to the code yet... :|

Unfortunately 750px is really narrow to allow everything fit in it.

I think best you can do is trying to abbreviate some terms which make the layout stretch.

Thanks for the answer Luca :) , this what I've started to do. I've found some of the translation are quite lenghtly. Additionally, in some occasions, like in the search screen, the cells are declared as nowrap, when it seems to work much better with wrap set to on. I can provide a summary of the changes if you're interested to get your opinion :?:
Best regards ;)

Milky Way (Margin Background Color)

Post by Jrdpa » Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:40 pm

Which style would I change in order to make the margins on the left and the right of the forum itself another color? I looked through the .css file under the theme folder, but wasn't sure which one to change.
