Getting advertisments in phpBB3 is for all templates almost the same. ;)

Site name and site description?

Sorry if this is a total noob question, I'm just getting started.
This style seems to be missing something: the site name and the site description don't show up anywhere.
What gives?

This is intended...
Nevertheless, if you desperately need those, then :
open/styles/milky_way_red/template/overall_header.html

find

Code: Select all

<td height="100" valign="middle"><a href="{U_INDEX}">{SITE_LOGO_IMG}</a></td>
<td align="center" valign="middle"><h1></h1><span class="gen"></span></td>

replace with:

Code: Select all

<td height="100" valign="middle"><a href="{U_INDEX}">{SITE_LOGO_IMG}</a></td>
<td align="center" valign="middle"><h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span class="gen">{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span></td>

Thanks, that helped.... but I found that the color of the sitename and site_description were a dark grey (#444444) that didn't contrast well with the red background. I wanted to change them to white, so I added a couple of character classes. Maybe this isn't the right way to do this, maybe if you have time you can comment. I updated the overall header line as follows:

Code: Select all

<td align="center" valign="middle"><h1><span class='sitename'>{SITENAME}</span></h1><span
        class="gen"><span class='site_description'>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span></span></td>
And then added the following to the CSS stylesheet:

Code: Select all

.sitename {
          color: #FFFFFF;
  }
  .site_description {
          color:  #FFFFFF;
  }
Which is working for me.

Hi!

Since I installed this template, the Members List is no longer updated, as well as the "Our newest member" at the bottom of the page... The last registered member remains the same since this template was activated... :?

Can you help me with this?

Kind regards,

Xuga

Hello everyone,
First off, I want to say thanks for an awesome style. It rocks!

I do have a problem however and it does sound pretty silly, but none of my members can reply or start new topics. Those buttons seem to be missing. Here is my board:

Edited to say I got this figured out!

Thanks
