I am trying this style out and have not been able to see any "Private Message" button on any of the pages. As far as I can tell I have everything set up to allow private messaging but I can't see where to do it. Can someone help? Thanks!
Thank you for replying. I am using 3.03 and I have every where I can find PM messages enabled, in the user CP and Forum configs. I can see AIM, WWW, MSN, etc button along the bottom but I can't see any PM button anywhere on the page. When I check the image set file I don't even see an image button for "PM".
Also I can't see any "post new topic" or "reply" buttons.
I finally found the problem.
The imageset did not have a EN_US directory or files. I copied the EN directory and FTP the files into a new EN_US diectory. Now I have all my buttons back.
I wish to change the header in this style for one i have designed for a new board i'm doing, i've looked at the normal way via the tutorials on here but this one's a little different to the other styles.
is there any chance of a dummies guide to changeing this header please?
You might get more help with more information. Since you are creating the style, it would help to know what style you base your style off of. Also if you already have it online and URL to look at it, would get you a little more detail in your answer.
sorry, but i'm not creating a style - i'm just mearly trying to alter an existing one, i.e change the header img for one of my own. The tutorials i have found on here tell you how to change/alter the prosilver style header.
the style i have uploaded to my new phbb board is the "getaway" from the styles database realease's forum, i have no idea what the style is based on, all i know is it's different to that of prosilver and the styles based on that.
so if anyone has this style already running and knows how to alter the header, please feel free to let me know.
hi, i have also posted in the styles support forums about this but i require a little help. i'm trying to change the header for one of my own but i'm unsure how to do it with this particular style as i'm used to doing things on prosilver's style.
I also am trying to edit the header on the getaway theme. I was able to modify the header images by replacing them in the getaway\theme\images folder. They are the only two jpg images in that folder (logo_left and logo_right). I just saved my images as those names then uploaded.
My problem is that no title header appears. I've set my "Site Name" and "Site Description" in the ACP but they don't display with getaway like they did for the default prosilver style. I am brand new to this editing of styles so please bear with a rookie. I can see in the CSS that there is a section for Header and Logo, but I have no idea how to add the text so it displays my site name and description. I've read that I can insert a heading with = and sub heading with == but I don't know where to place the text. Am I even trying to insert this at the right place in the script? The css txt looks like this:
/* Header and logo */
#maintable {
margin: 0 auto;
}
#logorow {
background: #1A1F29 url(images/logo_bg.gif) top left repeat-x;
}
#logo1 {
background: url(images/logo_left.jpg) top left no-repeat;
padding: 0;
min-height: 71px;
max-height: 71px;
height: 71px;
overflow: hidden;
text-align: center;
}
#logo2 {
background: url(images/logo_right.jpg) top right no-repeat;
padding: 0;
min-height: 71px;
}
#logo-text {
padding-top: 2px; /* adjust this to center your logo */
}
Those variables aren't used by style. To add title and description, edit overall_header.html and put variables {SITENAME} and {SITE_DESCRIPTION} somewhere near logo
