How to change link color in post

Post by darkone_d1_2000 » Wed Oct 15, 2008 12:12 pm

I have played around with the colours.css

Code: Select all

a:link	{ color: #105289; }
a:visited	{ color: #105289; }
a:hover	{ color: #D31141; }
a:active	{ color: #368AD2; }
And I cannot seem to the color of my links inside my posts.

Example: http://www.jgevolutionforums.com/increa ... g-t35.html

As you see here the link is the same color as the text and if I use the url tag to blend it into the post it is very hard to see.

I wanted to either change the text color of the link or change the color of the dotted line under the link. Can someone tell me what file to edit and what field to change the color on these?

Thank You

Those are controlled by these:

Code: Select all

/* Post body links */
.postlink {
	color: #368AD2;
	border-bottom-color: #368AD2;
}

.postlink:visited {
	color: #5D8FBD;
	border-bottom-color: #666666;
}

.postlink:active {
	color: #368AD2;
}

.postlink:hover {
	background-color: #D0E4F6;
	color: #0D4473;
}

I tried doing:

Code: Select all

/* Post body links */
.postlink {
	/*color: #368AD2;*/
	color: #0080FF;
	border-bottom-color: #368AD2;
}
Which should change my link color to a blueish color and it is still the same color as all the text. I did this in the colours.css file is that the correct place?

I cleaned out the theme and template cached files.

When you change anything in a CSS file you need to refresh your theme on the ACP / Styles / Themes page. Either that or set "Recompile stale style components:" to Yes on the Load Settings page.
