Links in post gone

Hi all. I just changed my skin to a modified Ash Retro and I've discovered a bug (or something). The links posted in text (like this) nor in signatures neither show up nor do they work. Any help, please? I don't even know where to start looking.

Thanks,
Sarah

The links seem to be showing up fine to me. Could you link to perhaps a specific instance where you know it's not working? :)

It's kind of hard to show where the links aren't :)
However, there should be one here. Almost all of my members have similar signatures and none are showing links

And here Here's the edit screen

Are you sure some of them are just not improper use of the

Code: Select all

For instance I found one on your site where that is the case

Code: Select all

August 1996Jitters (Adam, Hope)
Should be

Code: Select all

Well, I can't speak for my members, but the ones I posted were in my own posts and I'm positive they were working before I changed the skin. I posted the code, and I'm pretty sure that it was correctly used. And it's a matter of all of them not working now. I've looked at at least eight signatures that I was positive had links in them and they're entirely missing.

Check your ACP/General Tab/Signature Settings and make sure
Allow use of links in user signatures: is YES

Same for Post Settings

Odd, they look like they display fine on the Style Demo
Did you install any mods in this style?

Nope, other than the news table and the cbox.

I don't know why I didn't check this first, but your style has some code issues
Your Sites Validation
I'm not sure if it is the problem or not, but it very well could be.

I did notice that this style in the Style Demo has 64 Errors .
Also some of those errors could be a trickle down effect that the validator pics up.
Therefor, on fixing them you have to start with the first error and work your way down.

Did you try reverting back to the default prosilver style to see if it is actually the style causing it?

I reverted back to the style I just changed it from, and yes, the links showed up immediately. What does the "Site Validation" do? I'm still newb enough not to understand that. They look like skin code issues, am I wrong in that?

Anyone have any insight into this? Now I'm finding that I can't change avatars with this skin. I changed back to my old skin on the pulldown and had no problems, but it kept giving me a "The submitted form is invalid" error message.

it checks if your website meet the default conditions of W3C, after that there is a good change that your site looking good on all internet browsers.

That means that your style is not up to date , you need to update your style ; http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=585027

To fix your problem , could you try to change the default style of your forum? ( so i can see the style ? )
Did you also try to download a fresh package of that style , perhaps that there are some .html files are damage ( corrupt ) when you was uploading your template ?
