Centering Site Description and Name

Post by Funk Theory »

Any idea how I centre them? This is the code:

Code: Select all

<table>
      <tr>
         <td><center>
            <table>
               <tr>
                  <td align="left">
                     <a href="{U_INDEX}">
                  <img src="{T_IMAGESET_PATH}/site_logo.gif" alt="Site Logo" align="left"></a>
                  </td><td>
                     <h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span>
                  </td>
               </tr>
            </table>
         </center></td>
      </tr>
   </table>

did you do this?

Code: Select all

<table>
      <tr>
         <td><center>
that <center> tag looks like it should either be closed or not be there at all. try removing that then trying

Code: Select all

<align="center">
once more

if that still doesnt work try taking the

Code: Select all

<center>
and wrap it around

Code: Select all

<h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span>

the centre tag is followed by one at the bottom to close it. This is what i tried:

Code: Select all

<table>
      <tr>
         <td>
            <table>
               <tr>
                  <td align="left">
                     <a href="{U_INDEX}">
                  <img src="{T_IMAGESET_PATH}/site_logo.gif" alt="Site Logo" align="left"></a>
                  </td><td>
                     <h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span>{SITE_DESCRIPTION} <align="center"></span>
                  </td>
               </tr>
            </table>
         </td>
      </tr>
   </table>
so removing the centre tags didnt work either.

Add this

Code: Select all

<td width="100%" align="center">
before

Code: Select all

<h1>{SITENAME}</h1>
that should work i think its directly from whats in my overall_header

here is mine

Code: Select all

<table width="100%" cellspacing="0">

		<tr>

			<td><a href="{U_INDEX}" title="{L_INDEX}" id="logo"><!-- IF PORTAL -->{SITE_LOGO_IMGAGE}<!-- ELSE -->{SITE_LOGO_IMG}<!-- ENDIF --></a></td>

			<td width="100%" align="center"><h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span class="gen">{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span></td>

		</tr>

		</table>

From your code i tried this:

<td width="100%" align="center"><h1>{SITENAME}</h1><span class="gen">{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</span></td>

but still not working. HTML isnt normally this complicated.
