Resize and position of SITE_LOGO_IMG

Post by IBICO »

I have the trouble on Iceblue theme that I can`t seem to get the logo bigger or more to the middle

http://gasguns.info/forum/

I have sized the photo to 600px with.. also adjusted the cfg file to *200*600 to see if anything changed.. nothing.

I have edited also in common.css at http://gasguns.info/forum/index.php

#logo {
float: right;
width: 200px 600px;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
}

But nothing change. Even when "Purge all cache related items, this includes any cached template files or queries."

The picture is around 600x178..

The image at the forum is sized down.. the real size of the picture I have up there now is 358x171
I also have seen it in IE now and same.. I see now that IE don`t take png files with transparent background.. :(

In view source I find this, but not sure where that float left and width is located.

<div style="float: left; width: 79.5%;">

<div id="site-description">
<a href="./index.php?sid=2db1ffc2e73f78e45d1632bd1e4e4095" title="Board index" id="logo"><img src="./styles/IceBlue/imageset/site_logo.png" width="400" height="140" alt="" title="" /></a>

This style="float: left; width: 79.5%;" is inline CSS

That would be in the header_body.html .

only one problem.. Iceblue don`t have any file called header_body.html

If I only had some proper search tool to search inside files. Windows search is really bad.

Just came to something.. Is it possible that some themes borrow css styles from the default theme?? bit odd, but just had to check

Just installed the IceBlue style and tried to make changes to the background image, but no changes I make are saved. The theme appears to be locked in some way. I like the basic layout but I need to make some changes to get the "look and feel" of my site.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Well, this depends on where you make the changes.

The proper and best way is to download the file via FTP, edit it, and upload it back.

You will have to purge the cache via ACP for template changes and Also,
ACP > Styles Tab > Themes link on the left > Your_Theme > Refresh

when making theme (css) changes.

You may also have to clear your browser cache if the above does not help.
