Fixed width prosilver

Post by whoisit » Wed Dec 24, 2008 9:17 am

Hi
I'm trying to reduce the width of my board I followed the instructions below adding the code in red.

#wrap {
padding: 0 20px;
min-width: 650px;
width: 760px;
margin: 0 auto;

}

Then did a refresh and F5 but only the navbar at the top is reduced, the rest of the board stays at screen width.

You didn't add that code , when i view your stylesheet i see ;

Code: Select all

#wrap {
	padding: 0 20px;
	min-width: 650px;
}
also you have a unopened div on your overall_header.html , to resolve that ;

open overall_header.html

search:

Code: Select all

</div>
			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
		</div>

		<div class="navbar">
replace with:

Code: Select all

			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
		</div>

		<div class="navbar">

Try this:

content.css

FIND

Code: Select all

 ul.topiclist dt {
   display: block;
   float: left;
   width: 50%;
   font-size: 1.1em;
   padding-left: 5px;
   padding-right: 5px;
 }
REPLACE WITH

Code: Select all

 ul.topiclist dt {
   display: block;
   float: left;
   width: 40%;
   font-size: 1.1em;
   padding-left: 5px;
   padding-right: 5px;
 }

I changed the width:. You could change it like you would have it. ;)

PS: Clear your theme's: ACP --> Styles --> Theme's --> prosilver --> Refresh

That would not change the width of your board.
