Post by PrinceWords » Sat Feb 14, 2009 8:58 pm

hey, i hope i can explain my problem...
when I open my forum folder using cute ftp I see - in the root folder only - of my forum..all the php files are duplicated as .pak for example:

viewtopic.php
viewtopic.php.pak

and like this for all files except config....and it just happen on this forum only not on my other forums! that is why i'm afraid its some security problem ( hope not! )

Is it really .pak? Some editors make a backup file by adding .bak or another extension after the file. What is the content of those files?

Yes, bak files should be normal and nothing to worry about.
