PNG Backgrounds & IE

I've got backgrounds done with 50% transparency rendered in png. Of course, IE7 is not showing it correctly. Here is what the translucent background looks like correctly in Firefox 3 ...

And here it is in IE7 ...

You can see that while the transparency is showing, there are some odd bars of opacity. All I've done to the coding was change colours.css as follows ...

Code: Select all

.bg1	{ background: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/panel.png"); }
.bg2	{ background: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/panel.png");  }
I've done a bit of research and nothing seems to work including the fixes here and at the Star Trek Guide.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

P.S. Please disregard the tough to read color scheme - I'm trying to get this png issue fixed first.

Raimon, it is still on my local computer. Is there anything in particular you wanted to see? The tweaks.css?

Of note, the background is a single 1x1 pixel png with a transparent background and a 50% alpha colored layer.
