Repeat header background

Post by GarathJ » Wed May 20, 2009 5:28 pm

My header background at the top of my prosilver phpbb3 forum repeats for users with large resolutions.
Is there anyway to prevent it from doing so?

Add this to the CSS of the element, with the repeating background image. ;)

Code: Select all

background-repeat:no-repeat;

Without seeing your forum we can't guess where that background is, so you can't give exact instructions on what to do. Please post your forum url.

Your header image is designed in such way so it would be very hard to make background image that could stretch to left/right from it, so the only solution for that background that I can think of is to change width of your forum to a fixed number.

To do that open common.css, find this:

Code: Select all

#wrap {
	padding: 0 20px;
	min-width: 650px;
}
and replace with this:

Code: Select all

#wrap {
	padding: 0 20px;
	width: 921px;
}

You need to refresh the themes in the ACP,
ACP -> Styles Tab -> Themes Link on the left -> Your style Refresh

It seems perfectly now! try to purge your browser cache. and add the following property to the wrap id to center the forum.

Code: Select all

margin: 0 auto;
