Adding Link at the Top - Serenity Style

Post by ember1 »

I am having a hard time getting a link at the top to show up with the Serenity Dark Blue style. I have uploaded the modified overall_header.html into this folder: .../styles/serenitydarkblue/template
This is how I have coded it:

Code: Select all

<tr>
	<td class="navtd">
		<div class="navrow">
			<div class="navrow-right">
				<a href="http://www.cartridgecollectors.org">IAA Home</a> &#8226;
				<a href="{U_FAQ}">{L_FAQ}</a>
				<!-- IF U_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS --> &#8226; <a href="{U_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS}">{L_RESTORE_PERMISSIONS}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_SEARCH --> &#8226; <a href="{U_SEARCH}">{L_SEARCH}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
					<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_MEMBERLIST --> &#8226; <a href="{U_MEMBERLIST}">{L_MEMBERLIST}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT --> &#8226; <a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}">{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
			</div>
			<!-- IF not S_IS_BOT -->
				<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN --><a href="{U_PROFILE}">{L_PROFILE}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN -->
					<!-- IF S_DISPLAY_PM --> &#8226; <a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}">{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
				<!-- ELSEIF S_REGISTER_ENABLED -->
				    <a href="{U_REGISTER}">{L_REGISTER}</a>
                <!-- ELSE -->
                    &nbsp;
				<!-- ENDIF -->
			<!-- ENDIF -->
		</div>
	</td>
</tr>
Appreciate the assistance.

Appreciate the assistance.
that should work.
did you refresh your template after making the change.

also, did you do this edit in the admin panel style section?

if so, it is not permanent and you have to actually download the file to your computer using ftp and edit it using a text editor and upload it back.

then, you have to refresh your template in the styles section of the admin panel.

Ah-ha! I didn't refresh. I do manually edit the file locally and then uploaded the file. I'll give refresh a shot. Thanks!
