Text Color change for URL hotlinks?

Text Color change for URL hotlinks?

How do I change the text color for links forum wide? I've been looking all around to find it and I just can't see it anywhere. Now, the color is light blue and you can't hardly tell if something has been linked or not. I need to change the color to make links stand out more. Unless, I make it bold, which I'd rather not have to do everytime.

I didn't see anything in the "documentation" explaining how to change the color of the text when it is hotlinked with the URL code thingy.

It's not a "hotlink". A link is a link and is controlled by the CSS for that style. That will vary according to the style - prosilver, or subsilver2 based, as prosilver uses more than 1 page of css to control. This should normally be in colours.css for prosilver. In a subsilver2 based style - all colors are controlled by stylesheet.css. You should look for the a.link selector.

Which links specifically do you want to change?
in colours.css - most of the links can be changed with these:

Code: Select all

a:link	{ color: #105289; }
a:visited	{ color: #105289; }
a:hover	{ color: #D31141; }
a:active	{ color: #368AD2; }
The #105289 is that light blue color.

What I'd like to be able to change is simply the color of the text that has been hotlinked (not sure what other term to use) using the URL code and added text to title it. For example,

Freethought Nation

I'd like to change the color of the text that says Freethought Nation. And, I just need a step by step of how to get there so I don't muck up the wrong thing.

It might help if the quoted text remained black too. That is really when I'm having the most trouble being able to tell when something has been linked or not. I'll share this as another example.

http://www.freethoughtnation.com/forums ... 28&start=0

Or maybe it would be better or easier if I just change my theme color? maybe that's the best way to deal with this? I am just now realizing after looking that my board style is "freethought" and the subsilver2 and prosilver are apparently Deactivated. Not sure what's up with that.

I just want to make sure that the board is not difficult to read for those with eye issues.

open colours.css
search

Code: Select all

/* Post body links */
.postlink {
	color: #368AD2;
	border-bottom-color: #368AD2;
}
replace with

Code: Select all

/* Post body links */
a.postlink {
	color: #368AD2;
	border-bottom-color: #368AD2;
}
and change #368AD2 to whatever colour you want your URL links to be :)
