Problem with forum RSS button

Post by newbie_niles » Fri Jun 25, 2010 10:47 pm

When I turn on forum RSS feeds, I can see the RSS feed icon but it does not function like a clickable link and is followed by "-->" (not present for forums without a RSS feed toggled on).

* I recently updated to 3.0.7 (the patched version)
* I use the style "SkyBlue"
* I use the Swedish translation
* The url of the forum includes "--" at one point because of umlauts in the visible url address.

From what I can tell by looking in forumlist_body, it is not the style's fault that this happens.

What causes this problem and how can I fix it?

You have to make a template edit to show the feed icons, even if feeds are enabled in the ACP...so I would guess that you haven't made the template edit properly. Sounds like you've only removed the first half of the comment tag.

Can you post the link to your board please? :)

Edit:
I just figured out what's wrong with the code below, no more help is needed. :)

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_ENABLE_FEEDS and forumrow.S_FEED_ENABLED -->
<!-- <a class="feed-icon-forum" title="{L_FEED} - {forumrow.FORUM_NAME}" href="{U_FEED}?f={forumrow.FORUM_ID}"><img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/feed.gif" alt="{L_FEED} - {forumrow.FORUM_NAME}" /></a> -->
<!-- ENDIF -->
Edit 2:
And now I see that this is probably exactly what you meant... :oops:
Thanks for helping out!
