Theme problem

Post by praveer » Sun Oct 24, 2010 1:58 pm

Hello all,
I used a PHPBB 3.0.6 theme on my board running on version PHPBB 3.0.7 PL1. It was installed successfully. But the part where category name appears, on the right side, there is a white space. The theme used is FIsubice2. I am attaching a picture to make my problem more clear to you all.

Please help me solve this. Help will really be appreciated.

PS That currently my forum is not complete and is being completed. So not mentioning my boards URL.

Thanks
Praveer

if it was me i would look for another style or see if there is a update for that one. due to the changes in phpbb3.0.7pl1.

cause using a older style will sometime open you up to hackers, bots, and lots and lots of spam.

but if you are going to use that style. depending on what style it is based off of depends on what you need to change.

but it will be in your forumlist_body.html file in your style template folder.

what do you want to do that of white space ?

its the style that the theme is using dont you see its blue on the category site and eventually it turns to white ?

if you still want to change it in your stylesheet
find

Code: Select all

.catdiv {
    height: 28px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
  border: 0;
    background: white url('./images/cellpic2.jpg') repeat-y scroll top left;
}
the background property , white is the white color and the image is that is actually blending the white and light blue color.

and yes you can manually update the style from 3.06 to 3.07 , follow the subsilver2 code changes

Thanks for you replies. I know its blending, but its not looking nice IMHO. The original blending is shown in the attached picture.

then change

Code: Select all

.catdiv {
    height: 28px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
  border: 0;
    background: white url('./images/cellpic2.jpg') repeat-y scroll top left;
}
to

Code: Select all

.catdiv {
    height: 28px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
  border: 0;
background-color: #C7D0D7;
    background-image: url('./images/cellpic1.gif');
}
refresh your theme from the acp.

1 more question. How do I remove my site name from the header of the theme. When I remove my boards name from board setting in the ACP it gets removed. But when I place my name site name, it again comes there. Here's the picture to make it more clear.

Hi all,
My friend did not solved the problem. The site name is still there. What I mean by name is that my site name in text in appearing in the header. When I go to ACP > Board Setting and remove the boards name, its is disappeared and as soon as re enter the boards name, it comes back again.

When we install phpBB, in the default theme on the header it is written that " your sites name " And below it " A short text to describe your text " It is that text only which is appearing. I am using FISubice a subsilver based theme.

PS I cannot post link of my board as its under development. I am sorry for this. I am trying to be as descriptive as possible so as the problem is clear. You can see the attached picture in my earlier post to understand the problem more better.

Thanks
Praveer

Then we are unable to provide you any support. Without seeing your board live it's impossible to tell what the problem could be.
