If I'm understanding you correctly, you do NOT want it to repeat. I think you then just remove "repeat" from the code.

I want it so the

http://tekkennation.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=131

see the picture on the sides? I want it fixed, so then when you scroll down, the picture will stay there and the centre of the forum (were all the posts are) moves down instead

Not sure about the css verbiage but in HTML the body tag would have

Code: Select all

 bgproperties="fixed"
and this would keep your background from scrolling.

Maybe someone can help with that one. Maybe just adding the above code in to your body tag... :roll:

background-repeat: repeat-x;
bgproperties="fixed"
}

I was pretty sure that the code wouldn't work in the css file.

In the overall header of the style you're using, find the <body> tag. It should look something like this:

Code: Select all

<body id="phpbb" class="section-viewforum ltr">
Just before the ">", paste in the bgproperties="fixed" and make sure there's a space between it and the coding before it. Upload and purge your cache. See if that does it.

I'm out. Don't know how beyond that HTML code, it's worked for me on static sites. Hopefully someone will chime in and come up with the answer.

In know you probably did, but did you purge your cache and or refresh your templates (ACP > Styles > Templates > your style - refresh)?

Don't know if both have to be done, but I know at least one does ;)

I tried a different approach and came up with the above adjustment. Try this and let us know if that does it for you.

I don't know if it's ok to hijack this now, but i wish to achieve this on the DVGFX style. Seems pointless to start a new topic on something thats already going. I tried this on my style but it didn't work. I had hope but nope, so any help would be great.

I just tried my solution and I had to lose the

Code: Select all

background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/tag_2_bg.jpg");
and replace it with

Code: Select all

background-image: url("/forum/styles/my_theme/theme/images/CF.gif");
(note that my board is in the directory "forum", it's root directory)

It seems the {T_THEME_PATH} was causing an issue to find the image. Oh yeah, don't forget to upload your BG image to the correct folder. But works great, I might just keep it.
