Hovering

Post by AshWebmaster »

Hello.
I came up with the idea of removing the hovering color when i move my mouse of the forum boards.

When ever i hover over the forum boards it shows a White color, anyway of removing this and make it the default color?
Thank you.

Hello AshWebmaster!

You'd want to remove the hover effect in your colours.css file or stylesheet.css - depending on your style.

What style are you using?

Go to \styles\prosilver\theme and open colours.css

Find:

Code: Select all

li.row:hover {
	background-color: #F6F4D0;
}
Change F6F4D0 to your liking.

Don't forget to refresh your style in the ACP.

Go to - ACP >> Styles > Templates/Themes/Imagesets > YourStyle - Refresh

Well you can either change the hex colour to the same as the normal background colour, or remove the code completely:

Code: Select all

    li.row:hover {
       background-color: #F6F4D0;
    }
If it doesn't work, mind providing a link to your forum?

Your colours.css still says:

Code: Select all

li.row:hover {
	background-color: #F6F4D0;
}
Which would still make them yellow when you hover over.

Did you refresh your style in the ACP?

I forgot to ask this before, how are you editing your style?

When editing your style, I would recommend the following:

*Download a good text editing program - Such as Notepad++*
  • Log in to your server using your FTP-client. Find and download the file you need to edit.
  • Save a backup, make the changes you're going to do, and then save your file.
  • Re-upload the file to your server, and then head into your forum.
  • Log in to the ACP and head to ACP >> Styles > Choose Templates/Themes/Imagesets for your style and click Refresh!
  • When you're done, you will have cleared the cache and will be able to see the changes you've done the next time you go to the board and hit F5.

I was just having this same issue. The key is you have to refresh all three - Templates/Themes/Imagesets - before the change seems to show.

The first thing that needs to be done is to edit the colours.css file, which has not been done in this case.
