The Index page i want to have its very own background, then any link you click after that will switch to a different background.

So Index one background image, all the rest another background image

For Index_body.html instead of including overall_header you could make another overall_header specifically for the index page and include that instead, and then change your new overall header to have a different background.

In prosilver_se the template/overall_header.html has this for the body.

Code: Select all

<body id="phpbb" class="section-{SCRIPT_NAME} {S_CONTENT_DIRECTION}">
In the theme/colours.css the background color is set for the body.

Code: Select all

html, body {
	color: #536482;
	background-color: #ACA8A1;
}
IF you want the background color to change in the different pages, use the SCRIPT_NAME.

Code: Select all

<body id="phpbb" class="section-{SCRIPT_NAME} {S_CONTENT_DIRECTION}">
Note the:

Code: Select all

class="section-{SCRIPT_NAME}
Open the theme/colours.css stylesheet and Find

Code: Select all

html, body {
	color: #536482;
	background-color: #ACA8A1;
}
After Add

Code: Select all

body.section-viewforum {
	background-color: #BBA173;
}

body.section-viewtopic {
	background-color: #9EBF98;
}

body.section-posting {
	background-color: #A8B3C8;
}
Do you get the idea?
You can use body.section-search, body.section-faq, body.section-memberlist, and so on...
{SCRIPT_NAME} = faq when you are in the faq.php page.
{SCRIPT_NAME} = search when you are in the search.php page.
