Change the code to:

Code: Select all

a#header-link {
  display: block;
  width: 200px;
  height: 140px;
  text-indent: -1000px;
  float: left;
}

Works perfectly! Thanks!

In overall_header.html, find:

Code: Select all

		<div class="navbar">
Before, add:

Code: Select all

		<div class="panel bg1">
			<div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
			<h3>Welcome</h3>
			Welcome to my site!
			<span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
		</div>
Refresh your template.

Refresh your theme.
Sorry but I guess I am vague with my question: :oops:

*How can I place the "welcome texts" under the hyperlink that says "[ Moderator Control Panel ]"? instead of immediately under the image header?
*How can I let the "welcome texts" appear only on the homepage board index?
*I want to integrate the forum to my site. Where can I place the global navigation? I suppose that the line that says "board index" would be fine.

Thanks a lot for your help. :D

Does anyone know hwo to remove the big blue header in prosilver and replace it with a picture/banner?
And also add a small banner on the footer as well? Thanks.

Have you read the first page of this topic? It answers your first question.
For the second one, you can add the banner in overall_footer.html file in your template folder. Refresh templates after editions.

Hmm... So it is, thanks! :)

I still don't really know how to add the banner in the footer, I am a bit confused and out of my depth here though.

Can you post a screenshot of how the banner in the footer would look? :)

Hallo

New suer to the forums with a quick question.

My banner seems to have gone a bit wierd. Its replicated itself next to the original.

see http://www.thelargemag.com/Forum101/index.php

Im sure ive messed up the coding for width, but there wasn't anything width coding to edit.

Anyone else encountered this issue?

James

Ok folks I have a real annoying problem. I've went by the excellent instructions on the first page of this topic but have still been unable to change my forum header to my own design. I am using the Avalon theme if that makes a difference? I've also noticed Avalon doesnt have a common.css but a stylesheet.css so I'm stumped, please can someone help with this please? Another piece of info that might help to answer my question... I dont know if this is normal or not but prosilver is deactivated and only Avalon is active, not sure folks if that normal ? ? ? kinda still new to this folks, sorry! :roll:

Avalon is based off the subsilver2 style and not prosilver.

If you open the stylesheet.css file and look for

Code: Select all

#logorow {
	background: url(images/logo_bg.gif) top left repeat-x;
	text-align: center;
	padding: 0;
}

#logo-left {
	background: url(images/logo_left.gif) top left no-repeat;
}
#logo-right {
	background: url(images/logo_right.gif) top right no-repeat;
	padding: 4px 15px 0 15px;
	text-align: left;
	overflow: hidden;
}
that code details how the header of avalon looks.

Code: Select all

#logorow {
	background: url(images/logo_bg.gif) top left repeat-x;
this code is the main background of the header.

If you want to just change the default logo of avalon.
You can replace site_logo.gif with your own image. The image is located in: ./styles/avalon/imageset/site_logo.gif
