I answered all your questions at my site. Please have a look. I have a new way of integrating them since the day we worked together.

I went back in on your site and made the changes to the pillmenu and added the search link to navbar.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but after making the changes listed on the first page I can no longer access the admin panel, it gives me a 404 error, I'm not sure if a path has changed or something but I can't find anything in the changes which would affect the ACP.

Basically I'll click the ACP link and it will ask for a username/password. Now when I enter the info and click submit it brings up a 404.

The ACP is still there because in Opera I can still access it since I haven't logged out of it yet so it's not that's missing, it's something to do with the link.

precious wrote:To come up with the code above, i looked at the source of my joomla front page, used all the code i thought would be required (this took a little bit of trial and error) and added it to overall_header, i then uploaded all the .css files and images from the joomla site to my php theme folder

I got the idea after reading for a solution for my problem, it didnt take me too long to figure it out and i have zero coding skills!

Make a back up and trial and error found me my solution, it took me longest to find where everything was defined in the phpBB3 css files

I can not see why using the above principle can not be used for other templates

I followed your solution for another phpBB3 style and it worked! The only problem I have though is when I import the Joomla template, using this code

Code: Select all

<link href="{T_THEME_PATH}/template.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
I can't "turn it off" and the rest of the board uses this css mixed in with the phpBB style css. It looks fine, but i'm just wondering if I can fix this. Any ideas?

Wow this is a blast from the past!

Glad the theory is being used still, i have done this over loads of sites.

Regarding the .css, i found i sometimes have to use a mix of div ids to get the required response from the site

Hi,

I try to import the header of my joomla template Yootheme Explorer in the overall_header of phpbb3. I use the method of Precious but i think I have a problem with the css because my header is white (with the 5 links from the exemple).

Anybody can tell me how can I use the header of the joomla Yootheme?

It looks like you havent put any of the style elements in from your joomla template, have you cleared the cache and refreshed the template?

I copied all files from yootheme/css ans yootheme/images and I put them into my prosilver template (prosilver/theme/)

maybe I have to change/adapt your code on the first page?

edit: I tested with the rhuk_milkyway template and I have the same problem. :|
