Hi!
I've been following this guide, but when I changed the background of the headerbar, and changed background colour, it turned into something strange check my website: http://www.forgottenrunners.tk.
Only about half of the headerbar image is showing

Edit: I tried sorting it out on my own but now its gotten worse, any ideas on what i've done wrong?

Edit again: NVM I fixed it!

Hi, I have changed the colours of my forum (again) and want to have a white background on the actual thread pages. However, in doing this, now there is no border or separator between each post (it was basically the same colors as this page with two shades of the light blue, so with them gone there is just all white).

So I was trying to change the color of the border of each post or between posts (or around each posters name/number of posts block) to say a light grey, but then probably realized there is no border here to change (as it was previously blue on white!). So, how can I fix this? Is there a border between posts which color i can change or, if not, how do I add a border here?

Link to sample thread page here.

Thanks

Ok, I am trying to wade through this thread and wanting to change the this color:

I changed the colors inside the forums themselves, but the main page here is what I am after.

Any help appreciated.

Hello I followed your instructions for changing the header bar but encountered two problems. 1. The color didn't change, even though I followed the directions and 2. I couldn't seem to change the color of the headerbar image? How would I go about changing that when it's not an html file? It's an image? Thank you. :?

PS
Did I do this correctly? When I first tried to simply change the colour, nothing happened. So I just eliminated the background colour altogether, but even with that, and specifying the overall colour for transparent, it seems not to have changed a thing. While my logo and site name are present, the headerbar is still this terrible clashing shade of brilliant blue I would like to eliminate so that my template shows up.
.headerbar {
background-color: ;
background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/forumheader.png");
color: #000000;

this guide should SERIOUSLY be updated with a picture key indicating what part of the theme is what...

I followed the directions on that page

viewtopic.php?f=74&t=926045

and am well on my way towards customizing the colors how I want them. But I am missing one thing. I believe I followed the directions on "2) Recolor the header image", but the bottom of my header image is still blue:

http://clesstahn.com/phpBB/index.php

What am I missing? I know that I

- changed the bg_header.gif color to be my new dark red color
- changed the

Code: Select all

.headerbar {
    background-color: #12A3EB;
    background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/bg_header.gif");
    color: #FFFFFF;
}
" background-color " 12A3EB code *also* to the new dark red I want.

What else should I do? My top image is still blue, at the bottom of it http://clesstahn.com/phpBB/index.php .

Thanks for all the info in the thread! A lot of good stuff here. One minor problem I'm having is, when I change my overall background color in the colours.css, the sharp corners just outside the rounded corners stay white. How can I fix that? Thanks!

since you have not given us a link to your board yet, I can only guess. in general that problem comes becuase the corners are images. if you change the background color then the white part of that corner image shows up.
you need to open those corner images ina graphics program and edit them to be whatever color you want.

Thanks, Robert. My site is in my signature http://www.politijoust.com. The issue isn't visible right now because I left the background all white, but what you said makes perfect sense, but I can't seem to find them as images. They are the standard rounded corners in prosilver.
Thanks for the input!

http://www.politijoust.com/styles/prosi ... me/images/
there are several different corner images there.
you find out which one you are using by looking at the colours.css file
different pages use different images.

you can also hover your cursour over the image and choose view background image to see what the image is and where to find it.
