Thanks to everyone offering you're suggestions on features and bug-fixes. I've gotten this MOD working within 'viewtopic', 'view profile' and now 'privmsg'. Likewise, there are now some 'colorized online/offline' icons included.

out of my curiosity, do other messenging (msn, yahoo) systems provide APIs to check the online status of a member or not ?

Thanks

Hello-

I just installed this mod (my first one!) and the results aren't that pretty. I'm sure I have screwed something up, but I did think I followed the instructions to the letter.

My site is: http://www.envirolink.org/forum/

In my profile ( http://www.envirolink.org/forum/profile ... rofile&u=3 ) there is a question mark instead of any icon. In fact it seems that all of my icons have no disappeared.

Any suggestions?

Yes. I know a MSN one exists here @phpBB. I've also seen an API for Yahoo!Messanger exists, but I've never tried it.

By the looks of things (the url you provided) I'm pretty sure it's not this MOD's fault. None of your icons seem to even exist :?

http://www.envirolink.org/forum/templat ... _email.gif - bad link
http://www.envirolink.org/forum/templat ... con_pm.gif - bad link
etc, etc, etc.

I'm thinking something else happened while you tried to install it. 8O

John-

Ok... I fixed my permissions problems and icons are there. Problem is, nothing new seems to be happening related to this MOD. Am I missing something obvious? (once again, I am a newbie at phpbb admin stuff and hope my simple questions aren't overly annoying)

Josh,

Right now the big.oscar.aol.com server is down. Happens every now-and-than. Retards over at aol ;) :P You can see my own site is having problems, right now too: http://www.4cm.com/forums/profile.php?m ... rofile&u=2

I suppose next version around I'll put in some Checks to make sure the icon is active.

Off-Topic:
Hmm, I remember seeing a way to do that via JavaScript... anybody know that??

Still no change on my site, and your site seems to be showing the different icon. Any suggestions?

Hey Josh, yeah, still seems to be down.

I've known, in the past, for them to be down for a few days.... Really strange...
