Kotek wrote: I would like to report an issue with this MOD and ask you for help:
A user just posted in two topics thus appearing two times in the list. Then he asked me to change his username. So I enabled it in the config panel and he changed it. And right after that the whole list is empty.

I deleted his previous topics and it did not improve. I sent posts in those respective topics and it did not change either. Still an empty table instead of the scrolling list :-(

I think this has something to do with the database. What do you guys think? Should I rerun the
INSERT INTO phpbb_config ( config_name, config_value ) VALUES ('topics_on_index', '10');
to fix it?

I am no expert in MySQL and I don´t want to mess it up more. Is there another way to kind of reset the table?

My froum: www.lysanadlabem.info

Thanks for any hints.

Edit: A friend has fixed all major issues for me. No need for help here any more.

I am facing exactly same problem. Please help me.

I'm not understanding how I can change settings on this MOD. I'd like to only show the recently active topics one particular category and only 5 of them or so rather than 10. Can anyone help?

The number of posts to show can be changed in the ACP. To restrict the mod to a certain category...in index.php

FIND

Code: Select all

$sql = "SELECT t.topic_id, t.topic_title, t.topic_last_post_id, t.forum_id, t.topic_type, t.topic_status, p.post_id, p.poster_id,
	p.post_time, u.user_id, u.username, u.user_lastvisit
	FROM " . TOPICS_TABLE . " t, " . FORUMS_TABLE . " f, " . POSTS_TABLE . " p, " . USERS_TABLE . " u
	WHERE t.forum_id IN " . $auth_view_forum_sql . " AND t.topic_id = p.topic_id
	AND f.forum_id = t.forum_id
AFTER ADD

Code: Select all

AND f.cat_id = yourcatid_here
change youcatid_here to the corresponding category number for the threads you want from there.

This should fix the table. I have no idea about that header error.

Hope this will be useful for you :)

Uninstalled, all issues resolved. Could be a nice mod if I were able to install it properly.

Has anyone seen a "Latest Topics" mod that looks like this vBulletin board -- no scrolling, just placed along side the index?

www.protege5.com

Thanks

That one looked nice. It looks something like you would get for dragonfly cms or similar. I would also like to know if this is possible for phpbb.
