Having a problem

Post by bstaggs » Sat Jul 31, 2004 9:09 am

I am using a slightly earlier phpBB 2.0.6 and the Permissions section and everything comes up in the admin section (Viewable at least just not appending changes) what do i need to do to resolve this error:

Could not update auth table

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'auth_globalannounce' in 'field list'

UPDATE phpbb_forums SET auth_view = 2, auth_read = 2, auth_post = 2, auth_reply = 0, auth_edit = 1, auth_delete = 1, auth_sticky = 3, auth_announce = 3, auth_vote = 1, auth_pollcreate = 1, auth_globalannounce = 0 WHERE forum_id = 3

Line : 154
File : /~path/html/forums/admin/admin_forumauth_list.php

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Something tells me you have altered the code to add support for a MOD which you don't have installed. Just revert the file it mentions back to the one from the download and it should work.

I would however strongly recommend you update phpBB as well :)

i was wondering if someone would be interested in creating an add-on to this mod so that it would be compatible with the categoires heirarchy mod version 2.0.5 RC-2

I tried the solution on page 3, but sadly it did not work.

I also tried editing admin_forumauth_list.php in the same fashion that i edited admin_forumauth.php with the changes from the categoires heirarchy mod, but it did not work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since this is a great mod for boards with many forums to manage.

Sorry!!! :D  :D

I've overlooked that adminforumauth_list.php is a new file. Sorry missed this.

Installed it yesterday on 2.0.10 seems everthing ok.

greetings
Peter
