Have you set the language?

Go to faq admin/FAQ lang installer and choose language and click submit.

I click on FAQ lang installer and I still get the stupid message.

Couldn't get list of Languages

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1146 Table 'forum_michaeljatas_ca.FAQ_TABLE' doesn't exist

SELECT lang_id, count(faq_id) AS faq_count FROM FAQ_TABLE GROUP BY lang_id

Line : 57
File : admin_faq_inst.php

for the other BBCode Admin and FAQ Admin I get similar messages.

It finally worked. Still one other problem, though! I am trying to edit the FAQ page and when I do and I can see the FAQ page being changed in the acp, however when I go to the FAQ page on the main page it is the same FAQ page as I was always getting. Why isn't it changing?

Are you using a cache system? If not it may not be actually writing it to the db. The issue is either a permissions issue or a cache issue I would think. Or the edits! I believe in includes/constants.php

Open the file /includes/page_header.php PLUS /admin/page_header_admin.php

Find this code

Code:

//
// gzip_compression
//
$do_gzip_compress = FALSE;
if ( $board_config['gzip_compress'] )
{
$phpver = phpversion();

$useragent = (isset($_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"]) ) ? $_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"] : $HTTP_USER_AGENT;

if ( $phpver >= '4.0.4pl1' && ( strstr($useragent,'compatible') || strstr($useragent,'Gecko') ) )
{
if ( extension_loaded('zlib') )
{
ob_start('ob_gzhandler');
}
}
else if ( $phpver > '4.0' )
{
if ( strstr($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_ACCEPT_ENCODING'], 'gzip') )
{
if ( extension_loaded('zlib') )
{
$do_gzip_compress = TRUE;
ob_start();
ob_implicit_flush(0);

header('Content-Encoding: gzip');
}
}
}
}

And replace with this code

Code:
//
// gzip_compression
//
$do_gzip_compress = FALSE;
if ( $board_config['gzip_compress'] )
{
$phpver = phpversion();

$useragent = (isset($_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"]) ) ? $_SERVER["HTTP_USER_AGENT"] : $HTTP_USER_AGENT;

if ( $phpver >= '4.0.4pl1' && ( strstr($useragent,'compatible') || strstr($useragent,'Gecko') ) )
{
if ( extension_loaded('zlib') )
{
ob_end_clean();
ob_start('ob_gzhandler');
}
}
else if ( $phpver > '4.0' )
{
if ( strstr($HTTP_SERVER_VARS['HTTP_ACCEPT_ENCODING'], 'gzip') )
{
if ( extension_loaded('zlib') )
{
$do_gzip_compress = TRUE;
ob_start();
ob_implicit_flush(0);

header('Content-Encoding: gzip');
}
}
}
}

I found this on a google search yesterday

Excellent! Works like a charm, many thanks . . . :)

I've attempted to install this MOD with EasyMOD. I'm getting the following error during the installation process:

Code: Select all

SQL PROCESSING ERROR:
No SQL alterations will be performed. However, you may skip SQL processing, continue installing the MOD, and deal with the SQL manually.

The following error occured:

FATAL ERROR: Unable to parse SQL statement; malformed type length in field near [KEY (`faq_id` ]

SQL Line:
CREATE TABLE `phpbb_faq` ( `lang_id` varchar(50) NOT NULL default 'english', `faq_id` tinyint(11) NOT NULL default '0', `faq_title` varchar(255) NOT NULL default '', PRIMARY KEY (`faq_id`,`lang_id`) ) TYPE=MyISAM
Any help would be greatly appreaciated.

i think this is because the php function "mysql_query" doesnt support backticks on sql querys i am gonna input them manualy in to my db then export them without the backticks

Edit: fixed the SQL-code and re-uploaded it

FAQ editor 100 problems

Post by Roald Moy » Sun May 29, 2005 12:48 pm

I have the FAQ editor 100 (MOD Version: 1.0.0) installed in phpBB 2.0.15., and it works ok, but where is the BBcode Faq page located? Can't find it in the normal FAQ page where also the Attachment info are?

Let me try to explain better:
We have the faq.php where I can find (and edit) Attachment Faq and Board Faq. I am supposed to be able to edit BBcode Faq, but I cant find BBcode Faq in the faq.php when I'm done editing.
So are the BBcode Faq a separate page, and if so, where is it located?

Thanks for any help.

I have installed it, no prob. I have created SQL tables in my DB, no prob - but when i try to get to Admin panel i find the following:

If the file admin_faq.php is in my admin folder - i got my left frame panel just blank.

If i remove it from admin folder - the frame panel apears.

And it concerns only this admin_faq.php file, the other one admin_faq_inst.php shows nicely and i have no problem with it. So can anyone make a guess what causes this trouble?

Thanks in advance for any help

I get this same thing. Love to know how to fix it. Sounds like this could be a cool mod.

the fix for this is to change the names of the function names in my admin_faq.php to something else
eg. add faq_ to the beginning of them and for every instance they are used in that file that fixed the problem for me

I am also getting this problem, and not too great at php - please could you give an example of which 'functions' to use faq_ within the admin_faq.php file please.

Thanks

Mxx
