Nevermind, I just got some direction. So I'll try it and hopefully it will work.

Thanks so much for your assistance! :)

This doesnt work, it just allows everybody to see everybody that is hidden. I logged out and entered my board as a guest and I saw one of my mods who is hidden in the userlist.

How the heck to you open a .mod file anyway?

Firstoff: Skull Dragon: Simply right mouse click on the file and open as a text document. OR you can change the .mod to .txt and open it. Either way will work.

Now for my question:

Is there a way to incorporate this MOD to work with the "Last Visited" MOD, so in the list of invisible users for that day are also viewable to the Moderators? (It's viewable to the Administrators already, but would like Moderators to see it as well)

Thanks!

Does anyone know if this Mod will work with version 2.0.16?
Thanks! :)

Yeah, it's working for me with 2.0.16. But like I said, if you have the "Last Visit" MOD installed, the "hidden" names do not display on that list, but it does show who is CURRENTLY online.

Hope this helps (and I hope someone can find a way to make it work with the "Last Visit MOD".

Works with Easy MOD.

First...
Highlight and copy the content of the installation guide and paste it in a new notepad document.
Rename it "see invisible.txt" Or something as such.

Next...
Create a new folder in root/admin/mods on your server.
Use the same name for the folder as you did for the .txt document.
Now download the text document into the folder you just created.

Last...
Go to "Easy MOD" and you'll see it within the install area.
It will install flawless. :wink:

Hi,

The mod works fine, but user permissions is permanently set to advanced, and refuses to go back to simple mode. Any suggestions?

Mod works for version 2.0.18 and someone asked about the Users of the day mod.
Open includes/page_header.php
Find

Code: Select all

				if ( $row['user_allow_viewonline'] )
				{
					$user_online_link = '<a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=viewprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $row['user_id']) . '"' . $style_color .'>' . $row['username'] . '</a>';
					$logged_visible_online++;
				}
				else
				{
					$user_online_link = '<a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=viewprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $row['user_id']) . '"' . $style_color .'><i>' . $row['username'] . '</i></a>';
					$logged_hidden_online++;
				}

				if ( $row['user_allow_viewonline'] || $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN )
Change to

Code: Select all

				if ( $row['user_allow_viewonline'] )
				{
					$user_online_link = '<a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=viewprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $row['user_id']) . '"' . $style_color .'>' . $row['username'] . '</a>';
					$logged_visible_online++;
				}
				else
				{
					$user_online_link = '<a href="' . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=viewprofile&" . POST_USERS_URL . "=" . $row['user_id']) . '"' . $style_color .'><i>' . $row['username'] . '</i></a>';
					$logged_hidden_online++;
				}

				if ( $row['user_allow_viewonline'] || $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN || $userdata['user_level'] == MOD )
Just tested it and it works ok.

KidneyBoy,

Here's how I modified my board, so that moderators could see "hidden" visitors on the list of visitors for the day:

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
index.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
if ( !$row['user_allow_viewonline'] )
{
$uot_hidden_count++;
$view_online = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN ) ? true : false;

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
if ( !$row['user_allow_viewonline'] )
{
$uot_hidden_count++;
$view_online = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN || $userdata['user_level'] == MOD ) ? true : false;

#
#-----[ SAVE/CLOSE ALL FILES ]------------------------------------------
#
# EoM

This works like a charm on my board.

Wayne

any chance that moderators can also see where hidden users are on the view online page?

Tried this solution to my problem and it seems to work for me, posting it here in case someone else need it. Please note though that I'm a rookie at php and really don't know what I'm doing, so use my code at your own risk :!: Please feel free to tell me if I've done something completely stupid...

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
viewonline.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
$view_online = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN ) ? true : false;

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
$view_online = ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN || $userdata['user_level'] == MOD ) ? true : false;

#
#-----[ SAVE/CLOSE ALL FILES ]------------------------------------------
#
# EoM
