Yeah, anyone using this with the latest cut? Have all the bugs been fixed?

I'm having a hard time finding the following line in overall_header.tpl for bsrf template

<td height="25" align="center" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="mainmenu">&nbsp;<a href="{U_PROFILE}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_profile.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_PROFILE}" hspace="3" />{L_PROFILE}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_message.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}" hspace="3" />{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/bsrf/images/icon_mini_login.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}" hspace="3" />{L_LOGIN_LOGOUT}</a>&nbsp;</span></td>
I assume since the templates different, I would need to look for something else?

this is the portion relating to private messages:

<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_message.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}" hspace="3" />{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}</a>&nbsp; &nbsp;

Maybe I did something, but I'm using the bsrf template. Everything seemed to be working correctly at first. Now when anyone logs in, it says they have 1 unread message, when in fact there isn't anything. Checked the IN/OUT/SENT/SAVED boxes also. Any ideas?

Nice mod, except I'm having a one small problem.

The message counters won't reset to zero. I have tried reinstalling several times and to avoid typos I cut and paste from the included txt file. Not to say it eleimiates them, just cuts down on them alot.

I can't figure it out. I have cleared out my inbox. I have tried logging in and out. But the counter just keeps incrementing up by however many PM's I receive.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also using bsrf, and have created my own "Messages" notification image which I've named "messages_text_on.gif," but I can't figure out where to place it in my overall_header.tpl file. It's a different color than than when there's no new message, and there's no counter. Here's the code line:

Code: Select all

<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}"><img src="templates/bsrf/images/menu_images/messages_text.gif" alt="{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}" hspace="3" border="0"></a>

I've figured it out! :D

After you've defined the pm images in the bsrf.cfg file, place this line

Code: Select all

<a href="templates/bsrf/images/menu_images/message.gif"><img src="{PRIVMSG_IMG}" alt="{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}" hspace="3" border="0"></a>

With this

Code: Select all

<a href="{U_PRIVATEMSGS}"><img src="{PRIVMSG_IMG}" alt="{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}" hspace="3" border="0"></a>

Found a bug, if I click on the new PM in my PM box, it still says I have a new PM until I click to go to another page.

It will work with any template as long as you create the necessary icons.

Thank you!

I've just installed EasyMod (I haven't installed any mods so far) so I'm assuming I need to upload the original mod then tweak it afterwards with my own icons?

What HTML do I need to change and where and how do I get the files to 'find' the icons? I mean do I need to store them somewhere specific on my pc?

TIA!

The HTML you need to change should be similar to what is shown in the mod. Unfortunately I don't have the time to look at every skin template and figure out what HTML should be changed. If you are not using the standard template, at a minimum I would expect you to carefully read the instructions and give it a reasonable effort before posting here for support.
