MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
Changes the submit button to sending when a user clicks on the submit button after they are done writing their post. This helps reduce double posting because they can see it is being sent.

I can do addon for quick reply, but only for Extended Quick Reply Form

Bug with PM sending found. For fix make:

Code: Select all

[OPEN]

privmsg.php

[FIND]

'L_SUBMIT' => $lang['Submit'],

[AFTER, ADD]

'L_SENDING' => $lang['Sending'],

[SAVE/CLOSE ALL FILES]

I have found you need to add :- 'L_SENDING' => $lang['Sending'],
into privmsg.php as well or the private messing submit goes blank

never thought about that, so you see, it's actually really easy to make a cool forum, and that only with tiny little customizations
Current Version wrote:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#

      document.post.post.value='{L_SENDING}';

how bout:

First. It will be bug - you will be redirected to posting.php(I tested on quick reply) so you must set time delay.
Second. I already submited version 1.1.1 with button disable on click.

My bad, it's true. The submit will stop after it is disabled.
Here's the script that I used to use:

Code: Select all

<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
function disable_btn()
{
	document.some_form.submit_btn.disabled = true;
	document.some_form.submit();
}
</script>

<form id="some_form" onSubmit="disable_btn()" action="some_script.php">
<input type="submit" id="submit_btn">
</form>
Cheers! ;)

If you install smartor's advanced quick reply MOD

OPEN:
viewtopic.php

FIND:

Code: Select all

				document.post.message.value += document.post.input.value;
AFTER ADD:

Code: Select all

				document.post.post.value='" . $lang["Sending"] . "';
