My Hide mod works perfectly (just installed it on vanilla 20.017 board). The problem is that after clicking on hide text, animated icons stop moving.

How can i make the text that gets clicked, so that its auto underlined so people will know that its clickable? I want it so the message, Click to reveal hidden content is always underlined instead of only when you point to it.
This is my Sig... :|

Hi,

I installed this MOD in our foruns and it's working well. There's just one problem: the button "hide" doesn't appear in posts, just in private messages. What can I do to solve this? We already had BBCode Buttons Organizer, version 1.4.0a and Multiple BBCode MOD, version 1.4.0c, installed.

Thanks in advance,

It works... but not completely :-(

Hi, I installed the hideBBCode MOD and the Multiple BBCode MOD.

The MOD works, but it doesn't display the helpline when I pass the mouse over the "Hide" button... help!

Thanks and goodbye

Have you remembered to insert the help text in every language file that your board uses?

Yes... my board uses only Italian language, but I modified also the English language (lang_main.php).

The helpline doesn't get displayed...

This is the content of my lang_main.php file:

Code: Select all

$lang['bbcode_f_help'] = 'Dimensione font: [size=x-small]testo piccolo[/size]';
$lang['bbcode_help']['value'] = 'BBCode Name: Info (Alt+%s)';
$lang['bbcode_help']['hide'] = 'Hide code: [hide]code[/hide] or [hide=click text]code[/hide] (alt+%s)';
Do you need I copy other files' code?

For example, this is a part of the posting_body.tpl's code I don't understand:

Code: Select all

// Helpline messages
b_help = "{L_BBCODE_B_HELP}";
i_help = "{L_BBCODE_I_HELP}";
u_help = "{L_BBCODE_U_HELP}";
q_help = "{L_BBCODE_Q_HELP}";
c_help = "{L_BBCODE_C_HELP}";
l_help = "{L_BBCODE_L_HELP}";
o_help = "{L_BBCODE_O_HELP}";
p_help = "{L_BBCODE_P_HELP}";
w_help = "{L_BBCODE_W_HELP}";
a_help = "{L_BBCODE_A_HELP}";
s_help = "{L_BBCODE_S_HELP}";
f_help = "{L_BBCODE_F_HELP}";

// Define the bbCode tags
bbcode = new Array();
bbtags = new Array('[b]','[/b]','[i]','[/i]','[u]','[/u]','[quote]','[/quote]','[code]','
','
  • ','
','
  • ','
','[img]','[/img]','','','[hide]','[/hide]');
imageTag = false;

// Shows the help messages in the helpline window
function helpline(help) {
document.post.helpbox.value = eval(help + "_help");
}
[/code]

Why don't we have a "hide_help", or something?

Thanks for support and goodbye.

Has anyone this working with MySQL 4.1.x ?
Because I upgraded from MySQL 4.0.x to 4.1.x (also on a different server) and when i hide some text with the [hide] tag, there will be displayed several "?" in IE. In Firefox it are different characters.

Anyone can tell me how to solve this?
I'm using phpBB 2.0.17 (and it's working fine on MySQL 4.0.24)

Thanks!

Anyone some ideas?
Thanks.

[Edit]
Hmm, seems this is an other [hide]-tag mod... But don't know where I can find my one...

MOD Name: Hide BBcode MOD
Author: EGIS
MOD Description: Adds a Hide BBcode to your forum, which reveals the hidden code (images too) when some text is clicked. Great if you want other users to agree before viewing information about for example the ending of a book. Also great for hiding screenshots and big images so they don't screw up the page layout.
Usage: [hide]Hidden code here[/hide] or [hide=Text to be clicked]Hidden code here[/hide]

MOD Version: 1.3.0 (Updated 03/04/05)
Installation Level: Easy
Installation Time: ~ 10 Minutes

Download File: hide_bbcode_1.3.0.zip
File Size: 5805 Bytes

Security Score: 0

does it require any manual work or can i do it straight with Easy Mod 0.3.0

bonez07: All MODs have to be able to be installed manually, but most MODs install with EasyMOD (granted, there are exceptions). You can choose which way you want to install this MOD: with EM, or not.
