I tried this 3 times, all three times I told myself, I have missed something or inserted wrong or..... but always the same result.

After installation
The first three links are nice and enclosed in the frame.
However, the rest of the links are listed underneath (outside the frame)
and some links even on the same line?
although it does .... kinda ....work!

:(

The most common cause of that behaviour is a mistake applying the MOD. Take care not to confuse AFTER/BEFORE actions.

Aha!
Thanks Markus

749th time lucky!
(OK, I exaggerate :P )
I started again and I felt sure my error was in the index_navigate.tpl

Nope! I had't put

Code: Select all

//+MOD: DHTML Menu for ACP
		$menu_cat_id++;
//-MOD: DHTML Menu for ACP
in the correct place in the admin/index.php :oops:

So now I see it in all its glory and I can only say it is brilliant.
I have many links and extras on the left panel and so this mod is an absolute Godsend.

Thank you so much for this Image

It's great to see the mile long list finally fit on a single page.
Until the day when God shall deign to reveal the future to man, all human wisdom is summed up in these two words,--'Wait and hope'.

This is indeed a great mod! I finally installed it on my planetlogos ACP, and lol, this is funny, I have so many mods in that site, that even with this addition, the shortened sidebar still scrolls off the page!!!

lol, ah well, this mod makes the additional scrolling shorter anyway. :-D

Good MOD.

But this only seems to work correctly with IE. With FireFox and Opera this doesn't work correctly. When a category is opened, the size of the left pane reduces by a few pixels and the reverse happens when all the categories are closed.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

If you want me to throw some more light on this problem, I can make a video of this.

Thanks to anyone who can help me. :mrgreen:

EDIT: The demo on this page works fine with Opera and FireFox, but the ACP on the forum is weird.

Check out the changes made to the .tpl file. It looks like a misplacement of something that should go after the <!-- END xxx --> part, which closes the template loop for menu rows.

Love it

Just installed this mod on my heavily mod'ed phpBB 2.0.21. Installed without hiccups using easyMOD 0.30b. Everything is running smoothly since.

Thanks for a very useful mod. The ACP was really starting to piss me off because of it's cluttered look and feel. This mod adds an extra click (having to select a major sub-heading), but keeps just the info I need to look at in view.

Thanks again.
