Okay, so I'm pretty much finished with the update. You can check it out at http://www.herrbawl.com/vanilla/ezdloads.php you can log in as a test admin account (user: testadmin pw:testadmin) and take a look at the admin cp and the effects of the settings. I'm submitting the update to the mod database so it should be available soon.

Great mod, just what I was looking for, shame it lacks security :(

It would be great if it used the forum permissions and only showed the files to those who were registered rather than just anybody.

It seems to override the security settings in the ACP and show the files to the world :?

It doesn't so much override them as just not check them. That's actually something I'm working on for the next update (v3.1.0)
