MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
This MOD makes it so that you create a trash can and moderators can move garbage posts to the trash can.

Garbage Posts? What does the trash can do with them?

So - is this just a forum that mods/admins can move topics to?

If so - then can't we do that already...? :?:

OR - is it the MOD I've been waiting for that act like an Invision Power Board and put it in there when anything is DELETED?

All users who have "move" rights
also users who are allowed to access this bin forum
the main difference between move and recycle is you have no location choice, just one click

sorry i don't know about a similar modification using by IPB

Bin forum can store old topics and also delete them if "auto-prune" is enabled

This is what I would like to know...

When a user or moderator hits the delete button for a post, will it automatically appear in the 'trash bin'??

No, it doesn't
Ask your moderators to use bin icon instead of delete icon

otherwise you can remove delete link in viewtopic.php or replace it with bin link
something like this

Code: Select all

	$topic_mod .= ( $userdata['user_level'] == ADMIN ) ? "<a href=\"modcp.$phpEx?" . POST_TOPIC_URL . "=$topic_id&mode=delete&sid=" . $userdata['session_id'] . '"><img src="' . $images['topic_mod_delete'] . '" alt="' . $lang['Delete_topic'] . '" title="' . $lang['Delete_topic'] . '" border="0" /></a>&nbsp;' : "";

I see - so if you do that and have the bin forum Admin-only - then the mods and any normal user won't see it...

BUT - the big question for me is - does it work with individual posts, or just whole topics...?
