Guess I'll just wait patiently and just change the name of my banner to logo_phpBB.gif just as I have been doing!

I just discovered as I was doing that (changing the name to logo_phpBB.gif) that the forum is still using the logo in the subSilver folder - not the logo_phpBB.gif which this mod copies to its ows banners folder.

Might be a clue...

Does this mod work if the Categories Hierarchy (sub-forums) mod is installed ?

Thanks

What I would try is go into your database and check your phpbb_config table to see if for some reason there's a 'banner_source' already in the table. If there is, then just delete the row and try the SQL again. This has happened to me before installing MODs in the past, not sure how and I don't remember details since it was years ago, but doing that worked. So I'd give that a try, tell me how it works out.

I don't use that MOD, but I have been to forums that do, and seeing them in action, I don't see any reason why my MOD wouldn't work with it. So I say give it a try, and if for some reason it doesn't work, I'll take a look at that MOD and see what I can do for you.

As for everyone else, my best guess based on what's being said is that there's something wrong with your database. Make sure that the values show up in phpbb_config, and if they don't, then enter them manually and everything should work just fine.

I fixed it. Basically, EasyMod had not (for whatever reason) done half of the stuff it was supposed to do. I went through all the files it was supposed to modify and re-modified them. It had only done half the work on the SQL side as well - it took a lot of messing around with stuff I barely understaand but it is now working.

Hi

i'm trying the mod but i don't find a line.

at overall_header.tpl i can't find the line <td><a href="{U_INDEX}"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif" border="0" alt="{L_INDEX}" vspace="1" /></a></td> (i did change the link into Appalachia)

All i find is <td height="85"><a href="{U_INDEX}"><img src=templates/Appalachia/images/board_header.gif border="0" /></td>

Do i need to replace this line ?

I don't know if the problem is the CH-210 mod or that my template is Appalachia

Thanks

(as you can see i'm a complete newb, sorry for that  )

Yep, just replace the img tag in that line with the one that the file lists for you and you should be fine.
