I'm guessing it has something to do with the session ids, but I don't know exactly.

Due to another related problem (other mod), I indeed found out it had to do with the SID's. Tnx for the mod and the support. Works great!

I didn't see anybody post this, but I can't find these lines of code in my index.php file. So, I'm not sure where to put the code I need to.

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
							$row_class = ( !($i % 2) ) ? $theme['td_class1'] : $theme['td_class2'];

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (Begin)
							$topic_posters_url = append_sid($phpbb_root_path . "topicposters.$phpEx?" . POST_FORUM_URL . "=$forum_id");
							$posts_topic_posters = '<a href="' . $topic_posters_url . '" onclick="window.open(\'' . $topic_posters_url . '\', \'_topicposters\', \'height=300,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,width=290\');return false;"  target="_topicposters">' . $forum_data[$j]['forum_posts'] . '</a>';
// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (End)

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
								'POSTS' => $forum_data[$j]['forum_posts'],

#
#-----[ REPLACE WITH ]------------------------------------------
#
// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (Begin)
								'POSTS' => $posts_topic_posters,
// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (End)

*Edit*
I forgot to mention that I installed phpbb 2.0.14 with Categories Hierarchy 2.1.1 package.

thanks much, works great

except I cant find the string to replace in index.php. With categories mod it moves that code elsewhere, but i cant find it. Not a big deal though

Hi!

This mod has been doing a fine job alongside many others for several months now.

I changed the mod for my site a bit... haven't read all the posts in here so this might have already been implemented...

I have added the functionality to the search.php file as well by adding these lines:

Code: Select all

// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (Begin)
$topic_posters_url = append_sid($phpbb_root_path . "topicposters.$phpEx?" . POST_TOPIC_URL . "=$topic_id");
$replies_topic_posters = '<a href="' . $topic_posters_url . '" onclick="window.open(\'' . $topic_posters_url . '\', \'_topicposters\', \'height=300,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,width=290\');return false;"  target="_topicposters">' . $replies . '</a>';
// Topic posters MOD, By Manipe (End)
After the line

Code: Select all

$last_post_url = '<a href="' . append_sid("viewtopic.$phpEx?"  . POST_POST_URL . '=' . $searchset[$i]['topic_last_post_id']) . '#' . $searchset[$i]['topic_last_post_id'] . '"><img src="' . $images['icon_latest_reply'] . '" alt="' . $lang['View_latest_post'] . '" title="' . $lang['View_latest_post'] . '" border="0" /></a>';
and before

Code: Select all

$template->assign_block_vars('searchresults', array(

Furthermore I changed the line

Code: Select all

'REPLIES' => $replies,
to

Code: Select all

'REPLIES' => $replies_topic_posters,
Thanks.

I also cant locate the "topicposters.php" I have also looked in the main forum folder. Not there. Would really like to install this, but will wait to a reply comes in.

Also, since I use the subblack template, should I just follow the instructions and install in that template folder?

I've just installed this on phpBB 2.0.21 with EasyMOD 0.3.0 and it is working great! I have a question however. I am translating the MOD into Dutch, but I would like where the following two strings are shown (so that I can see what it is in English now and translate it properly. Or maybe you can tell me what these strings 'mean'):

$lang['Topic_posters'] = 'Topic Posters';
$lang['Forum_posters'] = 'Forum Posters';

Thanks for your answer!

Best regards,

Toho_NL.
